Arsenal's Champions League Hopes Crushed by Bayern Munich

Kimmich's Header Ends Arsenal's European Journey

After a thrilling 2-2 draw at the Emirates Stadium, Bayern Munich advanced to the Champions League semi-finals thanks to Joshua Kimmich's bullet header in the second leg.

Arsenal's hopes of reaching the last four were snuffed out by Bayern's clinical performance, with the German champions dominating possession and creating more chances throughout the match. Despite Arsenal's spirited display, they were unable to overcome Bayern's quality and experience.

Arsenal made a bright start to the game and took the lead through Bukayo Saka's early goal. However, Bayern responded quickly through Serge Gnabry's equalizer. Arsenal fought back and regained the lead through Harry Kane before halftime. But Bayern came out strong in the second half and earned the decisive goal through Kimmich's header on the hour mark.

Arsenal pushed for an equalizer but were unable to break down Bayern's resolute defense. The defeat marks the end of Arsenal's impressive Champions League campaign, which included a series of impressive victories and a stunning comeback against Manchester City in the round of 16.

Bayern, meanwhile, will face Real Madrid in the semi-finals, with the first leg scheduled for next week at the Allianz Arena.
