Indiana Fever Finish Season with Disappointing Record
Team Finishes Sixth in WNBA Eastern Conference
13-27 Record Marks Team's Worst Finish Since 2012
The Indiana Fever ended the 2023 WNBA season with a disappointing 13-27 record, finishing sixth in the Eastern Conference. The team's record marked their worst finish since 2012, when they went 8-26.
The Fever struggled throughout the season, never winning more than two games in a row. The team's offense was particularly weak, averaging just 78.4 points per game, which was second-to-last in the league. The Fever also struggled to defend, allowing opponents to score an average of 87.9 points per game.
Despite the disappointing season, there were some bright spots for the Fever. Rookie Aaliyah Boston averaged 10.1 points and 8.3 rebounds per game, and fellow rookie Lexie Hull averaged 8.2 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.
The Fever will now look to the offseason to improve their roster and make a run at a playoff berth in 2024.
